Back to the Future III

.I wonder if it is the same exact truck in the third movie since that was made 4 years after the first one. Maybe they stored the truck... I seem to remember some guy on here that worked on those movies so maybe he'll chime in.

Black(202) and it has been available all the way from 1984-Present on Toyota 4Runners from the factory.
Black(202) was first offered on Toyota Pickups in 1982 and ran into 1983, then it was discontinued until it showed up again in 1987, it ran with the pickups up until 1995 when they became Tacomas.
Black(202) has been offered on the T100 in all years (1993-1998)
Black(202) is offered on the Tundra all years also (01-Present)
The Tacomas however never got a coat of Black(202), From 95-99 they got Black Metallic(204), and in 2000-Present they get Black Sand Pearl(209).

I think that truck spoke to every pre-pubescent boy out there! I think that is what started me on the Toyota Kick! It's just too bad the Runner never got as much lime light as the PU's. I remember the first time I saw that end of the movie, it was like rewinding it over and over just to catch a quick 'naked' part on a cute girl!
It's just too bad Black is one of the worst colors to have in Phoenix.

But I think it was the clutch making that burning smell

That's [I]exactly[I] what mine was like, except for wheel style, no xtra cab, no EFI, and red. The brush guard was almost exactly the same...
, but
....
sorry... it still makes me cry sometimes when I think about it (not Marty's; mine). Marty's truck makes me feel good.

Actually, I just watched the third movie and the first. THey used two different trucks.
In the first/second movie, it had a one piece side window and tinted windows. In the second, it had the side vent windows and only tint on the Xtra Cab windows. I'm thinking they had an 87 and then got an 85 or something later on.

how do we know the motor was beefed up? i guess it did roast them pretty well....
I also agree on the 4runner glorification, its not as good or even apparent compared to the ex-cab's role in BTTF.... but i think the 4runner is more useful, versitle, and practical unless you do a lot of hauling of stuff that cant be put in an SUV...
but i have to admit the ex-cab image is cooler.

Am I the only one that thinks Marty's toy sounds freaking KILLER at "the big race" scene?

There's a black one around the corner like that in someone's backyard...never noticed it before...I may go ask about it cause the body looks to be in way better condition than mine and I assume it has been parked there a while....probably for a reason, but I get that oh so good feeling when I see older Toyota's, or any for that matter...weird.
