Exclamation altimeter and inclinometer troubles...:(

alright here it is.... i obught a altimeter/inclinometer gauge... told it worked accept a green light was out. the tilt is fin and incline reads great. so i tore apart the dash and looked for that plug that apparently you unplug from the heater control. well i plugged it in (i had new blue 194's in it) hit the light button and nothing. and yes i did spuin the bulbs around and put them in the other way. i had the key turned to... the heater control never lit up anyways but i though it was a bulb.i found another plug in near the glove box which i assume is for the glove box light and it plugged right in. that didnt work either. the clock plug in works with the clock though. what could be the prob.
yes the dash was apart before me since its a dif cab and i saw that my dash which i thought was factory gray was actually painted when i took it apart. im buying a true new gray dash but i would like to figure out why this altimeter plug in wont work..? idea's? could i just run a ground and power wire from battery? also anyone interested in a sr5 dash cluster got a spare.

Did you have the Inclinometer grounded?

I have an inclinometer ready to install, but haven't taken the time to install it. I'm not looking forward to tearing the dash apart.

Good luck!

I dont think it grounds itself when plugged in. Im not sure bout the mounting bolts not real sure where they mount to. Easy way to test is hook up a ground and see what happens. If still nothing at some point in time check make sure your gettin voltage. If its just for lights than yes you could come from the fuse box with a hot wire but still gonna have to have a ground of some sort somewhere.

You don`t need to ground the inclinometer, just wire it to a 12 volt source and it will work just fine.
