All sorts of clutch info needed...
Hey Folks,
I am getting ready to buy a new clutch kit for my 84 PU with a 22r. Does anyone know the Aisin part number for the clutch kit for the 84 model truck?
By the way, if anyone has a link to any good tech write-ups for the clutch replacement, including tranny pulls, tips, etc.. , I would really appreciate those as well. While I am an avid DIY mechanic, this is a new and uncharted area for me. However, due to the high cost of labor of our local shops, I have decide to go ahead and dive in on the clutch replacement myself. We have to get our feet greasy sometime don't we?!
Thanks

Thanks WabFab. My original intention was to buy one from you, but I ran into a bad problem today when I was driving home. MAJOR slippage... I thought I was going to have to call my kids to come and pick me up. Since I have a carport, my friend has offered to let me use his shop on Friday and Saturday to get the clutch done so I don't freeze. He has all those tools I just sit and dream about. (Hoping Friday is all it takes...) I was hoping to find the parts somewhere local to get the baby rolling again by the weekend. Ahhh... Decisions, Decisions...

Well, we just finished up the clutch and things worked out great. I couldn't find an Aisin anywhere local, so I had to get an AMS Automotive clutch from Carquest. The thing feels great so far and the job was actually easier than I thought thanks to all the great write-ups here on YotaTech.
