I have 94 runner fronts in my 85... The driver side bolts right up. You have to insert the 'trans tunnel' side first (finger tight) and then give the seat frame a shove (1/4") to line up the 'door side' holes. once they are all in, tighten away.

The passenger side is a bit trickier if you want to maintain the slide forward access to the rear seats and the release from the rear lever. I wanted the best of both worlds so I made a hybrid of the two seats. I used the 94's seat back upper frame and bolted it to the 85's seat bottom lower frame and rails. The 85 lower frame is wider than the 94's upper frame, so I shimmed the difference with washers slid over the fasteners. The 94's seat cushion is about 1/2 narrower than the 85's lower frame, so I shimmed that difference too. Now I have updated 8 way adjustible seats with ratchet tilting head rests and the stock frame function of the 85 runner. It only took me 4 hours to figure it all out and accomplish the task...

If you need, I can be a bit more specific.
