Front and back carpet is $220 to $320 plus shipping.

I've been looking at:
www.auto-interior.com
&
www.stockinteriors.com

Not hard to install. Just remove seats, consoles, and a few trim pieces. Lay carpets in. re-install all pieces.

PS - Make sure you start your thread in the correct section. This needs to be in the 86 -89 Trucks & $Runners section.

I recently replaced the carpet in my '87. While it's not a hard task, it is definitely time consuming if you've never done it before. The carpet will most likely come molded, but it will be oversized and will not have any of the holes for hardware, so be prepared to do quite a bit of cutting. Definitely one of the best things I've done to my truck though that wasn't off-road related.

i believe i bought my 88's replacement carpeting from stockinteriors.com.

i only bought for the front and rear passenger area as i am intending to do a paint-on bed liner in the rear.

the carpet did come oversized and did not have any holes cut for screw/bolt holes.

a pair of electric scissors was my best friend!!!

my old regret was that i didn't buy the black color and instead replaced with a dark gray.

good luck.

On "Stock Interiors" website, there is a "Sample" tab at the top. Click it, then complete the information on the request. Select the carpet colors and then you should see your color samples in a few days.

Hope that helps

my interior color is gray, too.

i replaced with a dark gray but should have gone black.

that way dirt and stains don't show up as easily.

if anything, go dark gray!

i just went by an auto carpet place in town and they had some matching samples. based on their samples, mine is called "medium dark graphite". it's like a chargoal gray.

all i want to do is carpet the very far back (trunk) and the previous owner pulled the oem panels out and cut playwood to fit back there so he could put 6x9s in. he didnt carpet the plywood. so i would like to carpet the far back and the 2 side panels. for 2 yds of carpet (with no installation labor) they want to charge me $70. is that fair?

and how hard is it to put the carpet down back there? the guy said i need to put something down in between the carpet and truck because of the grooves back there. what do you guys think? he'll do it for me but wants $250 to install...just seems like a lot of money.

Yep it sure does.

Might be a good idea to check out their website for yourself.

i think you can do better with the price.

as far as laying material between the carpet the bed... i would get a piece of plywood or something and cut it to fit and then cover that.

you should be able to get 1 or 2 cans of spray adhesive, a staple gun with staples and fabric for better than $70 - better meaning less

good luck!!!
