85 truck shifter buttons

I just bought an 85 Toyota 4x4 that's auto. Me and my buddy were trying to figure out what the two buttons at the bottom of the auto shifter are for? When I hit them a light on the dash comes on not sure what they do though. I have searched just didn't come up with anything...

It's called ECT. ECT gives you more sporty gear changes by letting you stay in a lower gear longer. It isn't as economical with it on all the time so most folks only use it when they want to have some sporting fun. I think it's only one button though and maybe your other one is Overdrive? Been a while since I seen an automatic lol.

One button may also be the shift lock over-ride. If the battery is dead, and you hit the brake pedal, you still wouldnt be able to get it into neutral. You use a flat screwdriver or the key and push in on this, and it allows you to put the trans into neutral with no power. It isnt really a button, but a manual switch over-ride.

But without pics, I am guessing....
