I posted an earlier thread about an 85 yota no getting a spark after diconnecting the neg terminal on battery while truck was running. After connecting the negative terminal back the truck will turn over but now not getting any spark...any ideas where to start looking...possible fuses or relays that I could of missed?

Also does the 85 model have an OBD1? If it does where could i find the codes. Thank you

Is it fuel injected or carbed? 84 was only carbed, just because your VIN tag says 84, it could be an 85. August or September of 84 is actually the newer year. Get a Haynes manual and it will tell you how to test the coil. It can be the Igniter and there really is not a test for it, even in the Factory Service Manual. I just keep a spare available for testing from the junk yard.

With the distributor cap off, is the rotor turning? How is the distributor cap?
