'85 4Runner rear brake upgrade?

I have used the 'search' button, and couldnt find anything....

I will be doing the IFS calipers/ master cylinder/ fj40 rotor/ ss lines swap on my 4Runner, but I want to spread the stopping power out a bit and upgrade the rears too. I can't find anything about upgrading the rear drums, are there any common upgrades for this? What am I missing?

Thanks!

I am not sure if you can use the bigger drum brakes from an '86-95 truck as a direct bolt on, but I am planning on switching the entire rear axle on my '81. It gives the advantage of a 3" wider rear track and the 10" Rear drums of the later trucks. Basically direct bolt on. WHen doing this you have to use 1.5" wide spacers up front to get the track width to match.

http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/ also has a kit to convert to rear disc brakes too using GM calipers.

EDIT: Might find some useful info in here, though it is for 86-95, but the basics should apply....
