I was thinking more of a grey... black is not really my first choice and I still need s rear tailgate mine is fubared bad

 

got insurance and plates for her so now she is legal...

replaced my tailgate & tail lights today with one I got from a local salvage yard






also found a big spot that was patched with bondo rather than fixed

so all that is really left is I need to bleed the brakes, finish welding together the exhaust, roll up the rear window, and some minor motor tuning... but other than that she is good to go which is good since my 81 decided to throw another head gasket and isnt running to good (time for rebuild) so now i need the 4runner to be my DD till the 81 is back up in a couple weeks

well time to sell the 4runner... just when I was making good progress... found out my wife is pregnant so now we need to save up and collect as much money as possible so now the 4 runner is for sale
