I also tried an electric fan a while back.I bought a fan and then got some new scrap sheet metal from scrap yard and built a shroud so it would mount to the same holes the old shroud mounted too. However the controller I bought to run the fan burnt out after just a month or so and I had to put the Toyota fan back on it.
Thanks for all the help, these links provided will be very useful..

Bytheway> Im not a fan of this parts store" The Zone" but Auto Zone sells a plastic aluminum radiator ($128.00)that has 2 rows of about 3/4 inch flues and huge tanks w/ auto trans cooler in the bottom if needed. The reinforcement in the hood needs to be dinged slightly with a ball peen hammer or it hits the radiator cap slightly and causes it to leak. Slow enough to evaporate and make you pull your hair out wondering where the coolant is going.Next time I have the radiator out im just going to lower it about 1/2 an inch.Took me forever to figure out where the heck the antifreeze was going.Had to buy some dye and a light.
