Arrow 84 toyota pickup question please help!

Is there supposed to be a bolt on that bracket to make it fixed? Or is it supposed to be articulate? My guess is that its supposed to be fixed to keep the output shaft at approximately the same angle regardless of driveshaft travel. Please help me.Name: KIMG0374_zps4d52b235.jpg

what? lots of brackets on these rigs. if u are talking about the bracket on the front axle to the frame that is for the push pull steering and should be installed but will not hurt anything except make your tires wear a little more and make the steering sloppier

I agree with the above comment of "what?"

There is a thread on how to post pics.

no looks like they did some bulls#it when they lifted it. the bracket on the axle and frame should be a hard mount or it eliminates the point of having it there. basically it should move up and down as the drivers leaf moves up and down. it is so the axle stays solid so the gear box will not have sloppy steering.
i removed mine on my 1980 years ago and have had no real side effects. stock power steering on a push pull box and linkage. no bump steer or issues other than slight outer tire wear but might be just because i have not rotated my tires?
just take it off and see how you like it....if you even notice anything.
but that extension on there is not right at all.
