84 motor piston question

I have a question concerning aftermarket pistons for a pre 85 22r/22re. I have noticed there aren't as many manufacturers that make aftermarket pistons for the pre 85 motors. I want to upgrade the pistons and rings but it seems the choices are limited. Anyone out there have any experience in building a pre 85 motor with aftermarket(not meaning stock replacement) pistons. The bore will remain the factory size and I want to run moly rings. I would prefer to run a Hypereutectic piston but I would rather hear from someone that has done this already and what their opinion is. I think forged would be a lil bit overkill for what I have in mind. Basically I want a piston that is better than a stocker but not full out race. The only one I have come up with so far is a Silvolite piston. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can check with LCEngineering or with Ted at Enginbldr.com. They both have a lot of experience with Toyota 22r and RE engines.

Pistons should be readily available still but i would just go OEM. I recommend hastings rings. They seal great and are a very quality part.
