`84 distributor in an `85?

`84 distributor in an `85?
I just discovered I installed the distributor out of my `84 in my `85.The truck has been pretty sluggish,would this cause such an issue?Like maybe why it`s running really rich?

84 and 85 distributors should be the same, as far as i know. make sure the timing is set properly and you should be good to go.

both are carbed,the distributors look different internally.

I checked part numbers on rockauto.com and the vacuum advance is different for an '84 than an '85. The distributor probably has a different mechanical advance curve also.
