63 inchers swap

So I wanna swap in some 63 inch chevies. But I don't know how my rake will end up when I'm done. I don't know how much my truck is lifted because I bought it with a lift on it. So can someone tell me the stock ride height of an 84 or similar pickup on 31s? And supposing I get three inches of lift out of them can I run 33x 10.50s. Also I've heard about running my rear springs up front but I've never seen any details on it. Does it involve relocating the hangar and the shackles just like the chevies do? And hopefully I'll be doing a ubolt flip in the rear and run the shocks in a triangle to the middle of the bed.

I've read most of that thread but I didn't find the answers to my specific questions.

yes,you can run 33x10.50s, the ubolt flip with triangulation sounds like a good plan

x2.

Just FYI, and I'm sure you already know this, but some don't, and its good to know before you spend the cash.

Triangulating the shocks as you are planning to do increases flex and performance off road. It decreases onroad performance pretty good. On an IFS truck, with a sway bar, its not too bad. Many SAS guys find they get pretty wicked body lean with the shocks located like that. I know of a few who've gone back to stock or as close to it as possible to get rid of the lean.

Others are just fine with it. Its sort of like autolockers, some are content with it, others, like me, can't stand em.

Just wanted to make you aware, so you can make an informed decision.

You don't NEED to make new shackle hangers and definitely DON'T drill new holes in the springs as it creates a bend point in your springs and will eat lots of drill bits.
Doing the rear up front swap moves your axle 2" forward minimum. The axle relocation helps with keeping your tires out of the firewall. If you don't want your axle move forward so far, get an axle relocation plate (Sky sells them)

The reason people make a new front spring hanger is to turn the pinion up to the t-case.
Here is a link to the rear up front FAQ thread. There's a lot to read but a lot of good info. (FYI I did a break down of what leafs people used. It's on page 10) http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265669

Hope this helps
