4-runner making noise?!

Hey, we just finished putting an 84 22-re into our 87 4 runner after the original engine over-heated. Everything seems to work fine, all fluids are in, it runs like a 22-re should, no smoke or overheating. Has fuel pressure and coolant pressure. but at 50 miles per hour it starts to make a buzzing noise, and it just gets louder and louder the more you accelerate. Please help, i really need to get this up and running as gas on my chevy 2500 diesel is killing me.

Oh and one more question, do toyota transfer cases have a breather of any sort? We have notice a small leaks on the t-case but we think we might have jsut overfilled it and it is leaking out of somesort of breather. We made this judgement by puddle size.

Try to isolate the noise. Is it the same in and out of gear. Does it vary with engine RPM or road speed (try a different gear at 50+).

T-case typically vents out the shifter hole.

We've isolated the noise. It is either the drive shaft or the rearend. It does it in and out of gear. I drove it today and it more of a noisy vibration than a buz. I thing something is out of balance. Where would the drive shaft balance weight typically be located on the rear drive shaft, if they have them? Should i try unbolting the drive shaft and rotating it 180 degrees and rebolting it down.

how could i isolate it to the transfer case? It is still possible that it might be the transfer case. The transfer case is leaky and i think it might have a bad bearing.
