22re Swap

I have an 88 pickup with the 22re. It has a serious knock and needs to be replaced. I am trying to do this the least expensive wayso I am not ready to invest on a $2000-3000 motor. I have not had the best of luck with finding used or junk yard motors. I have come across a couple 83 celicas with with the 22re at a decent price. Would that motor be compatible?

Just my opinion here, but the cost and time to swap an engine doesn't seem worth it to throw an unknown condition junkyard motor in. Why don't you buy the 22re bearing kit from engbldr, drop the oil pan and change your main and rod bearings. The bearings are cheap, and in my opinion less work than pulling the engine.
