22R valve adjustment

I know most of you will say big deal, but I adjusted the valves on my '84 runner 22r today. I've never adjusted the valves on anyting, but I did it. I must say I'm proud of myself. It's running good once it's warmed up. It's always run a little rough when 1st started and colder weather makes it worse (my choke must be screwed up but that's for another day).

To anyone out there new to motor work like myself, just do a little research and take your time. It's not hard and I even found it to be fun. I would have posted pics but my hands were too dirty to pull the camera out. I also would have posted my steps but any would be valve adjusters would probably be better off searching as I am not good at writing out directions.

although i have had my truck since 10/ 1987, i have never done anything more complicated than a starter.
i recently broke a spark plug off, and Scheisse all of a sudden i have to do a head change over,, i just did home work asked questions and bingo, i got through it and all going ok so far.
last thing to do is timing check

Why didn't you just hammer a flat-head into what was left, and un-screw it?
