22R overheating

Hey guys I dont know where else to look. I have an 85 toyota truck 4x4 sr5 with the 22r and 5spd. I bought the truck with a bad motor. Installed a good engine and it gets hot. I replaced the water pump, clutch fan, thermostat, radiator hoses and prestoned 2part cleaned the radiator and it still gets hot. I wont get hot just idling, and driving it takes a while for it to get hot it will hang around the normal mark for awhile then slowly start to climb. Anything i could have missed. Thanks

Go to Toyota and buy a factory thermostat if you are sure the radiator is ok
