Potential or a waste of time? Was toying with the idea of a trail only / to work and back truck.

150,000 miles, was t-boned on the drivers side. No apparent frame damage, engine sounds okay. Pitman arm bent to hell. Hood is fine, grill is fine.

Doesn't seem firm on an asking price.

Jesus, would you like some 4Runner with your rust?

I think even the aluminum intake had rust on it.

seriously tho, thats a good candidate for a trail only rig, but its beyond fixing.

I was thinking if I could get him down to like $300, and a door from the junkyard I'd be in business. I took it for a drive, it drove nice. *shrug*

Possible to fix up, alot of time and cash. I would nab it for less than 500 bucks. Even if you wind up parting it out, it probably still had some goodies.

well $300 is pretty cheap, i would buy a rig for $300 with a sold axle, espcailly if all i wanted to do was wheel it

He's asking $1000, but there is no way in hell I'd pay that.
I think I'll offer him $300 w/o tires, then leave him my phone number.

Theres hope for anything with the right amount of $$$...But, id walk away from that one..so much rust, and im from a rust prone area myself. The damage to the side is also a pain. For the amount youll pay to get that thing runnin proper you could buy a better trail/to work truck.

I think I'm leaning towards that opinion aswell.
Ah well, maybe next time.
I'll have to browse the Pirate classifieds to snap me out of it.

A grand, rust bucket and interior shape let alone the rest of it speak 300 bucks..the tires look new and are worth more than the truck.

I'd buy it for 300 bucks, why not just put a new door on it and drive it till it dies. Will it pass inspection?
