1984 4runner a/c problem
I have a 84 4runner, 22r with factory a/c. I recently had the desire to get the a/c going with the onset of summer and put a rebuilt compressor on it, pulled a vacuum, added oil and gassed it up 134a. I have a certified a/c man helping with the gassing aspects. The a/c light on the dash illuminates, but the compressor will not cycle on (with more than adequate gas in the system). I can jump the clutch wire and get it to come on, but I am wondering if there is a way to test the low pressure switch. I have already got the parts exposed (under dash evaporator and related parts. I have read many post about a/c problems and fixes, but nothing on how to test the parts at question. I don't like changing parts for no reason. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
