yeah ... be carefull though .. although a very nice truck , and "looks" like only sheetmetal damage .. i'll bet the frame has been "tweeked" .. my old trekker was poked on the passenger side and the frame was bent .. I also had a white /82 stolen from my compound and drove off an embankment into a tree = frame bent ...
Frame CAN be fixed .. and sometimes quite reasonably .. they quoted me 5 hours on the "rack" and only $250.00 .. but I opted to replace it anyway .
dosnt look like it in your case .. just a heads up !!!!

I work at a bodyshop, your best bet is to see if you can get a bodyshop near you to do an estimate, that way it will give you a pretty good idea of what its going to take to fix it. Because the distributor broke off check over the block and make sure the block didnt crack from the accident.

UPDATE! with a little talking to my insurance co, they uped the pay out offer to a resonable level, and even though they are totalling it, because of the age I get to retain my clean title! no salvage title. I am buying it back for a very low price and am happy how this is turning out. they were asking if it has a 5 or 6 place odometer because of the low miles haha but it has a 6 and they are true miles! so now my question to you guys is can you point me in the right direction for replacment parts? thanks!!

I worked on my truck today for about 4hrs. I removed the bumper and salvaged to lights mounted in the bumper, unbroke! removed radiator, headlights, bezels, sidemarkers, fan and fan balancer, hood latch and all the broke junk, also pounded out the hood so it looks semi normal, stripped right to the core support. good news the distributor broke off but easily can be pulled out and the block is fine as well as frame and everything. alt is fine also. one fender seems fine but drivers is jacked. the fan balancer was bent but the shaft going into the engine seems fine. pics to come

This is where I buy parts. http://www.usautoparts.net/?start=1& I've bought parts for my 81 Toyota 4X4, and my 88 S10. I think the parts are of good quality. I just bought a hood latch for my 81 Toyota for less than $10.00. It works great. Dean

Here are some post tear down pics, tell me what you guys think.
the fan clutch got wasted but the mount seemed fine and the shaft on the block looks perfect.
How do the core supports work? I mean can I unbolt it or is it a cut out weld in type deal? can I pound it out so the radiator fits well? I mean the radiator was bolted in by all four bolts so it cant be to bent, except for that top post, thats wasted, can I weld something in its place?
If I buy a core support, what exactly am I getting?
lastly, because the distrubutor broke, is it pointless to try to mark the spot, also I had to move the fan around to get the radiator out so I bet its out of time right?
thanks!

You must have posted pics up while I was posting, It still doesn't look that bad rescue her! Usually on rad supports they are little holes where tac welds are when it was assembled, all you have to do is figure out where and drill through and then reverse process for putting back together

Heyyyyyy, That doesen't look so bad afterall
Lets see, your gonna need a new radiator support bracket, a grill, a bumper, new fan, fan clutch, maybe a water pump, shaft, and thats all I can seem to see from the pics that is really of great importance.
Hell the fenders don't even look that bad, get that thing back and get to work man

Keep her!!! You don't see clean interior like that even in 5 year old trucks. It looks like everyone else said minor mechanics and a little cosmetic. I wouldn't think the radiator and dis and clip should be more than $500. That's peanuts compared to the classic cherry nature of the truck!

The ins co is already cutting me a check and its on the way, the buy back was very low so of course the trucks not going anywhere, and I retain my clean title. all good things. I ordered a ready rad radiator I got it for 90 dollars. I looked on that link to us autoparts and found a ton of what I need for like 200 shipped. with some hammering I think I can clean up the driver fender enough, will see. why do you think I might need a water pump? anyone know where I can buy nippondenso distributors?

Have you 95yoda, and you duneyoda, look regularly on EBAY for items? I see emblems and reman distributors often. Also 95yoda, color spray [beige] all edges of any new metal before final installation.
