Women who drive first Gens? or even second gens?

They always assume that, and they usually assume I don't know what I'm talking about, when I usually know more than them. It's extremely frustrating at times. I have also found places that will quote my boyfriend a better deal than me!! I also have a 78 camaro that I recently got running and driving, the 5 years I have spent working on that and dealing with auto parts guys has really soured me toward those guys.

I've had that happen...

Just saw this thread and thought I'd chime in... new to this forum but not new to other forums or wheeling/wrenchin. I can soooo relate......
I've got an 07 tacoma currently. Started wheelin with a 96 tacoma back in 99. We have a 94 jeep wrangler trail rig - and rolled twice by me (ooops)!
Love wrenchin.... I'm a machine operator by trade. I run, maintain, and fix machinery on a daily basis. But I must admit, I'm getting older and not as energetic as I used to be.
My husband and I have found a new love (01 Corvette) and haven't been wheeling much lately. Yeah, I miss wheelin...but we've been wheeling since 99, been to Tellico 3 times, and rolled my jeep twice. I can literally say, "Been there done that" and moving onward to other things and other things to learn & wrench on.
For you ladies out there... drive it and wrench on it because you enjoy it!! Ain't no basket weaving or sewing here!!!

Pretty girls are nice, but I'd also be honored to have someone like you on my arm. Don't let the idiots get you down, soon you will be a regular. If you want, just deceive them. Have your man, brother, etc., call for the price and say my " girl, sister, etc., " will be down to pick it up. They don't have to know. (feminine wiles)
No judgements here, keep at it girls...you all rock in my book.

Just curious, but has anyone met (other than me) or is a girl who owns a first gen? I love my truck and it, in my opinion is really easy to work on and it's not exactly a muscle car, I wondered why women don't seem to own old toyotas. (Not at all to say Toyotas are un-manly) I would be stoked to meet another girl who owns an old toyota. Any other girls out there??

I'm a girl that was born in 1983 that drives a Toyota pickup from 1982. I have to admit that I opted to drive my Honda cars more often than the Toyota, but that's because the lack of power steering is making me too buff, lol! Seriously, though, I love my old truck!

I'm in Durango and always looking for wheeling companions. A group of us went to Moab and Blanding in April (two of my buddies haves a jeep but I let them go anyway) . It's too hot know but after I do some more to my truck (4.88's and twin stick) a group of us are heading to Silverton (4th of July) for some wheeling. Have you ever tried Poughkeepsie Gulch?

Lately I have not been into my 2nd gen. Tippy has been a PITA! She got her name for a reason! I have to re-do her whole suspention not to mention get that 3.4 in there. But I am not complaining too much. This past month has been spent wrenching on ~tc's~ demon AKA "ron" who has had so many issues it makes tippy look awesome!
Honestly if I had it all to do over again I'd get a taco. Engine bay is soooo much roomier, and not nearly as tippy! But I'll wheel what I have

I don't have a first gen...not yet anyway. I dream of one day having a first gen runner, until then my 95 suits me just fine. She never lets me down. Don't know too much about the wrenching aspect of it all (that's what jay's for hehe), but I can handle an oil change and want to learn more
Well, you might be in the right place...believe it or not, I met my man on YT (see avatar)...and didn't Molly and TC meet through the board too? Perhaps there should be a YT singles forum
