What is this tool in the tool kit

So dumb question time. 2 actually.

wfirs, are the bucket seats on the first gen not capable of folding forward to access behind them?? I can't find a lever or anything???

second, what is this tool in the tool kit for? I though accessing the hard to reach zerks but it doesn't seem like it would?

It is a grease gun attachment that permits greasing of driveline universals where there is insufficient clearance for a regular grease gun head.

You interested in selling it???

Thank you but I need it. It just doesn't look like it fits over a zerk. I will have to look closer at it. That end is so small.

weird, seems like grease would not be deposited into the zerk without being locked on but I'll be giving it a try.

anyone know about the buckets? Are they not foldable? Seems odd as it makes it tough to access behind the seats.

The seats on my 83 fold forward and so they do on an 81 that I know of. Both SR5's. If that grease adapter isn't greasy good chance those U joints weren't greased! Prepare thyself for a bit of a mess till you get the hang of using it.

Dumb question but how do you fold them forward? I feel so silly asking haha

the PO showed it to me saying it was for getting into the hard to reach zerks but I didn't know if that was the piece as there were a bunch of items. So I think it was used. I greased all the zerks you don't need the tool for and will be using it soon. Have not been driving truck lately duecto working on it.

There is a lever in plain sight on the side of the seat bottom...I suspect the PO has changed seats or 'modified' them. I cant imagine trucks imported to the US of A didn't have folding seats and ones for Canada did, the other way around absolutely!
