hey, well my clutch has went out so I decided it would be a good time to tackle it my self for the first... the pulling the transmission went fairly smoothly. The problem came when I when to change the Release bearing, I got the 83 kit first but had to take it back since its for the 22R and I have the 20 R in my rig. k looked like the same bearing wrong again it wont slip on shaft is too small. So eithe someone made a machine shop mod to make this work before or it some weird transmission. I asked some of the older guys lol aka parents friends and he says thats just toyota. So im having a Machine shop press off the bearing and press on the new bearing from the clutch kit. so I have a new release bearing. has anyone else had this problem? I mustive been fighting this clutch all day learning from it but still fighting lol. oh and my dad said I didnt need the flywheel resurfaced cause it wasnt into the riviots... I took it to the shop they said it could use it cause it had a few heat spots but we just took 80 grit sandpaper on a orbital sander and scractched it up hopefully it will work. lol
