Hi and welcome to the forum, l50 and l52 is the answer. There is a thread every month and sometimes every week on this subject, it is asked and answered many many times. You can do a simple google search like this:
https://www.google.ca/search?q=yotat...w.yotatech.com

Marlin crawler's site has a lot of good info on transmissions.

Now post pics of your truck.

Thank u, I was given an 87 5 speed n was hoping it would work...I've contacted a few salvage yards, seems the L series are a hard find... Will post some pics soon... She's got a LC ified motor n is a fun ride... Always loved the older body style, should be back in the dirt soon...

that 87 5 speed will fit on the motor, but other modifications will have to be done for it to work (drive shaft and crossmember), check into it, it might be worth it for you if you can't find an L-series

Any, other 4 cyLinder transmission (G, W series or R151)will be 4" longer. You will need to move the cross member back, shorten rear driveshaft and lengthen front d/s.
