Tire size and stability poll

Hey all. Kinda new here on the forum and had a simple question. What size tire do the majority of you run on your first gens, and what kinda wheeling do you do (Mostly mud, rock crawl, trail ride, etc). I myself do alot of wheeling in the southeast (US) mountains. Not alot of rock crawling but there is alot of steep hills with little to no turn around spots at the end of the trails. I like to keep a low center of gravity so I run an OME lift with one leaf removed and 32" tires with arb lockers front and rear. Even with this small amount of lift I find myself rocking back and forth with only two tires on the ground. Im always looking to upgrade my rig so give me what you got. Thanks

i run trails when i find time. but besides my wife's pilot my 80 is my weekly driver. highway, hunting, light trails and rock trails. my 80 b4 the duals wheeled with my skinny tires as good if not better than my 94 sas. due to the weight of the truck and skinny tires = more traction.

I run 35's with about 5 inches of lift, and I've had it to about 27 degrees of horizontial lean before it really got hairy. I had it to 32 degrees but i had to use a snatch block and winch to keep me from rolling down a sidehill. I'm not quite sure if that's what your looking for though.

If you want to be able to sidehill the best run 40s with maybe 5 in of lift. I had about 3.5 in lift with 35s on mine but i didn't do any fender trimming

if you want stability, as in not rolling..then go WIDER.

a more flexy suspension will help keep all 4wheels on the ground longer.
