Stock spring replacement on a 1980?
My 80 still has the original leaf springs, which no doubt should be replaced. Are there any high quality shock/spring upgrades that just replace the stock springs without a bunch of lift and modification? Also want to add power steering at some point ? for which I?ll probably try to find stock parts (ebay, etc.). Seems like all the steering/spring kits (All-Pro, etc.) are pretty extreme? Someone told me to go stock would mean a custom build?

OME makes a nice 2" lift spring kit, bolts right up with no mods (http://www.arbusa.com/). Power steering justrequires the p/s parts off a donor truck with similar engine and frame and is a bolt-on install.

4crawler, can he do a high steer setup using the OME springs? I would think that that would be better than just adding stock power steering.
Elier, if you go with OME please post lots of pictures and tell us how you like them. I'm replacing my suspension soon and I'm currently debating OME vs TG springs.
And the places I've found online that sell the parts:

http://www.rocky-road.com/4runner.html
http://www.4by4connection.com/4runpicallle.html
Also, I currently have trdparts4u looking to see if they can sell me the setup.
So far I've been trying to figure out how to do it the cheapest and I think the best option so far is to buy shackles, pins, and bushings from 4crawler and then buy the springs and shocks from whoever will sell them the cheapest.

Probably not, you geneally need at least 3" of lift to fit crossover steering. I had ~3" lift when I put the old over/under crossover on my '85 and it was a tight fit. Took a while to find a steering/pitman arm combination and spacers that would keep the drag link both off the frame (under compression) and off the springs in droop:
