Stock furst gen tire size question.

I'm still bone stock, but I was wondering what size tires will fit my truck. Meaning the largest without rub. Anyone have any suggestions?

I believe a 31x10.5 will be the biggest without rubbing.

That's what I thought, but I figured it was worth asking. I knew a guy with 33s on stock and he swore they didn't rub, but I don't really believe him.

depends if you run the stock 15 inch rims.
if not stock. depends on backspace.
all depends on backspace.....32s will not rub on a 1st gen on 16" tacoma wheels on the front axle. but will on the rear with articulation to the frame.
with backspace tire width is main concern.

33x10.5x15s with 3.75 backspacing will work.

31x10.5 works perfect on my truck. You can put 33x12.5 tires on it with a little bit of rubbing, but without regearing you might as well say goodbye to 5th gear and going highway speeds up hill.

Ok, I've got stock rims with 235/75/15s, will 255/70/15s fit with no clearance issues on the original rims? I'll be dailying this truck so I don't want to throw on 31s or anything huge. I'm currently looking at

And

What do you think? Thanks.
