squeeeky brakes? basic // 82 2wd
My 82 2wd pickup's brakes started squeekin.
i changed the front brake pads and now, still, they squeEEek - granted a lot less often - but the first few times i hit the brakes on my way around town is pretty awful.
do i need to change the back pads too?
or go further into this?
thanks

Some pads make more noise than others.
I bought some ceramic pads once that made intolerable noise, and I changed them out for different type ones in a few weeks.
Now, I generally use some sort of cheap organic pads.
They don't last as long, but they do not eat up rotors either.
I always use a brake pad cement that sticks them to the pistons, and this helps minimize squeaking as well.
The rear brake shoes would have to be inspected to determine their condition.
