sorry....
for another ruf thread just want some more feed back cant find what i searched for. so i wanted to post here to get first gen pickup feed back. i read about the perks of rears up front. whos is running rears up front on there first gens and there opinion on them. my stock front leafs are sagged to where they are flat to neagtive arch just sitting there parked. my 32's also touch my firewall under what flex i have lol. what all did you modify for it to work on your first gen? can it be run with stock steering for now? how much i lift did it give you? deff going to hysteer when money permits me to do what i have planned for the truck. just looking for a quick fix to level my truck and more suspenion flex for now.

I do not currently have ruf's on my truck but will in the next couple weeks so I feel I can answer a few of your questions based on the research I have done.
First, you dont have to modify anything to run them. You can use stock hanger and shackle locations and stock steering. The only thing you might have to mess with is the front drive shaft but you can just buy a spacer form 4crawler to take care of this.
That being said, most people do not do this. With just the springs you get no lift to maybe 1/2" lift. The rest of your lift comes from the drop hanger if you install one and longer shackles. The reason most people run this setup is because it is cheap and flexes good. If your wanting to do it for the lift the springs themselves will give you very little.
However, if you use a drop hanger and longer shackles to achieve some lift and move your axle forward you will run into issues with the stock steering and with the front drive shaft being too short to where it comes un splined when flexed. These are all things to take into account before installing them. You will also want to run longer travel shocks to take advantage of all the flex the springs have to offer. Longer shocks require shock hoops to be installed in order to mount them.
As you can see it is a snow ball effect, one thing leads to another. For just a quick fix I would just throw them on in the stock location with maybe a drive shaft spacer if needed and wait for the rest till you can do the hysteer. Just my .02
