Nice find. I can't find a shell that will actually fit my truck anywhere. I've had one that's about 2" too long for the last couple months. Luckily it's aluminum and was cheap...because over the weekend I took it off & cut the two inches out. We'll see if I can get it back together now.

Anyways, it's looking good! Colorado is nice for finding lots of parts for these trucks. I think that's where mine is originally from.

so I'm going to pick up my V6 rear axle tomorrow with 4.56 gears (from a 92 4runner) and am getting V6 3rd with 4.56 gears as well... I know that a V6 3rd will fit in a 4cyl rear and the 4cyl diffs are interchangeable front & rear so I assume a V6 3rd will fit in a 4cyl front housing correct I was told I only need to clearance the gear path on the 4cyl axle housing... also does any one have a thread on cutting off the link mounts on a 4runner axle and welding on leaf spring perches?

another question
from what Ive read my front axle measures 55.5"
and my stock rear is 55"
but my new V6 IFS rear axle is 58"
will I need 1.25" wheel spacers or does the front need to be .5" wider with 1.5" spacers

I'm glad everything is coming together. I hope you cleaned the snot out of the thirds before you sealed them up, Im cringing looking at those gears and the dirt in the same picture.

cheap piece of plywood, tarp or cardboard makes a decent work surface...

also you can put the driveshaft up to the flange, rotate the DS 1/8 turn and drill...

built my rear leafs the other day and am happy with the result the main leaf is 2" longer than stock and more arch installed the leaf pack along with my 3" longer than stock shackle and I gained about4-4.5" of lift total above stock...

waiting to get new front leafs to see how I need to level the rear... right now I have a 3" longer than stock shackle and modified front springs for a total of about 3.5" of lift

tires are coming in early and I still havent picked rims yet I a looking for a set of 15x8 but not sure to get 3.75 or 4" backspacing... I will run 1.5" spacers up front and have a 4runner IFS V6 rear end but still need to weld on spring perches so not installed yet
