well another problem has aroused and i just got my truck out of the shop today. My luck of course. anyways on my 82 toyota pickup the shifter is really sloppy and lose. and feels like it could almost just fall out of gear. and it is hard to find gears kinda if that makes sense, because its so sloppy. does anyone have an idea what this could be, i asked someone earlier and they said it isnt my throw out bearing so that rules out my only idea.
what is the problem and how do i fix it. thanks a bunch once again!

 

Your shifter bushing probably needs to be replaced. Do a search for shifter bushing and read what others have done. I did one myself and it's a quick and inexpensive repair.
