ok,been doing a ridiculous amount of searching on this so im finally going to ask,what is the difference in rear driveshaft length from an 80 longbed to an 84 shortbed? ive come across an 84 shortbed runs and drives,bad frame.i wanna get the 5 sp (drivetrain) and power steering out of it for my 80 longbed.my question is because of the transmission length on the 84,4 inches longer,will the shorter drivetrain,with moving the crossmember back and lenghthening the front driveshaft bolt in without messing with the rear driveshaft?

 

im pretty sure it wont be long anuff but just measure yours and then measure the short bed if its more then 4 inches shorter it wont work. pretty sure its way shorter
