putting a 20r in my 82'

so my 22r in my 82' died and my uncle brought me a 20r previously rebuilt and running, so my question is what parts will in need to add and what will i need to modify i was able to put the carb from my 22r on the 20r so i dont have to worry about that. any info is appriciated aloha

how were you able to use the 22R carb on the 20r ? these are NOT interchangable .
if it just "bolted" on , it would suggest to me , that the replacement is indeed a 22r as well .



so anyway .. if you have got the 22r carb on .. there really will be no differances .. it will bolt right into place .

well the carb on my 22r was a weber 34/34 and i didnt know it would fit at first but i called the guys at lce and they said they were interchangeable and it worked i just had to take off that adapter plate and it fit rather nicely had to do a little adjusting

ahhhh !!! ok .. so not a stock carb !


so then .. as I mentioned ... it's a "bolt in" a step backward .. but it will EXACTLY bolt in as the 22r did .

Yep. my 20R out of my 80 2wd got pulled out when i got my 81 4wd with a hole in the side of the 22R block. The main thing was running a 4wd oil pan and oil pick-up. everything else is the same.
