Price for an exhaust system. Good deal?

I went by a local muffler shop today to get a price on an exhaust system. I him that I want exhaust from the header to a flowater to out behind the rear tire. He told me with a flowmaster it would be $235 out the door and a little over $200 with a knock off flowmaster. So would this be a good deal? and how much of a difference would I see? I want to get a weber 34/34, header, exhaust, and a cam.

Yeah I feel like I paid around $400 for everything just to the front of the cat back. Somebody had cut my exhaust just under the door and put a cherry bomb on so I had to replace everything - some pipe, cat, muffler, tailpipe.

I bought a new Cherry Bomb muffler off eBay for about $30 shipped to me lol. Took it in to Meineke and had them weld in the muffler and replace from there to tailpipe for $125. I don't have a cat.

I got a quote for $250 that would be a resonator, muffler and tail pipe from the collector pipe back so your price is pretty good.

DAMN!!!!...those prices are outrageous!!!!!..the muffler shop here in town said with a flowmaster 44 my exhaust would only be about $120...so what the heck...i figured out that if you buy your own muffler like online or something...then its alot cheaper...a thrush turbo online is like $25 or $30...from the shop it was like $50...the cherrybomb extreme that im getting next is gonna be about $70 offline..and about $100 from the shop..so im getting it offline..now of course..it wont cost much...its coming from the collector on my header...right into the muffler and out the side in front of the rear tire...

Single in dual out cherrybomb extreme...2.5IN inlet..2.25 outlets...gonna run 3.5" echo tips on it..if i dont like the sound then i'll sell the muffler and get somethin else...lol..if anybody knows ABOUT what it will sound like...please tell me..i dont wanna spend loads of cash on the system..then not like..

i think when i bought a cat back kit for my 91 it was like 150 for everything and then another 100 for the cat as well.

i would like to find a kit online for my 87, and id really like to find something like a flowmaster, but i didnt see anything on their site. Any ideas? sorry for the slight hijack

Just a muffler and tailpipe was $150 but the full exhaust system was $250. I didn't think either were that bad. If you see the prices for the cat back systems online I think $250 is a steal!
