Before I put a roof rack on it and loaded it down with all my stuff, my 78 Chinook with a Weber carb got as good as 22mpg, highway. Worst was 17mpg. Once loaded down and with roof rack, dropped to more like 14-17mpg. Still pretty good.

Stock carbs are great until they aren't. Then a Weber will give you better mileage. When tuned right they definitely don't make your mileage worse than stock.

I'm getting about 17 mpg with a 302 v8 and 35's, with a 5 speed from a later yota and the stock gears for the 1980 pickup. I'd get this consistently if it wasn't so fun to mat the skinny pedal every time I get behind the wheel, haha.

Between 18 - 24, usually around 21 mpg.
Stock '84 pickup R22 160k+ miles
The 24 came after I put a camper shell on it.

I get about 23 mpg and I have and 1983 2wd pickup thats bone stock.

Before I snapped the timing chain I was getting 15-17 mpg pulling a 1300lb trailer.

Not Good.

1980, stock 20R, 4x4, Michelin Defender XLT 31.5 x 15's. 13mpg (odometer reading). 3100 RPM @ 55 mph indicated.

For the one other person with a stock 4x4 deisel(82, 5speed)(LN46-MRW) I get around 9.09L/100km (~25.87mpg) with a mix of city and highway driving.(highway speed is around110-115km/h(65-71mph) also called top speed)
