Please help me find this strange u joint!
Hello again y'all. I've got a u joint problem! Truck is a 1983 pickup with an automatic a43d transmission. I bought a replacement rear output slip yoke and unfortunetly the holes for the u joint differ from those on the original one! The part number was correct so I'm quite confused.
My drive shaft needs u joint caps that are 1.14" in diameter while my yoke needs ones that are 1.02".
I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find a combination u joint even close to what I need. Has anyone ran into this problem before? I'm a little confused as to how this happened. The slip yoke appears to be the proper one and came in a sealed bag with the part number on there.
heres a link to the yoke:
Any help is much appreciated! I'd use a speedi sleeve but they all appear to be much much shorter than my yoke. I'm hoping to not but a whole driveshaft over this leak, thanks!
