Need rear tube bumper ideas! 1981 longbed

I need rear tube bumper ideas! I plan on running all pro style sliders and want a rear tube bumper so i dont drag bed on trails! I really like the marlin style rear bumper but i want something that doesnt stick out as much. anyone have any custom rear bumpers?

If you don`t like the first one redesign and try again.

Not real hard to keep it in tight below the tail gate.

^I'm gonna take a guess that this is the opposite of what he wants.

Tucking up a bumper nice and snug to the body shouldn't be a problem. The issue is there are literally hundreds of variations to get what you want. Start drawing some pics and/or mocking up some cardboard to see what looks good to you.

I've been working on an RC Mojave/Hilux body with longbed (same as your 1st gen pickup) and have been adding some armor to the rig. I don't have pics, but the rear bumper I came up with is sort of a hybrid between a Demello offroad bumper like this:


and a simple high clearance bumper like this, where you chop out the departure angle from the bed:

Get a small I beam, 4 or 5 inch, and have someone weld it together.
