i have to order parts like tonight if possible.

can i block off just my air injection tubes and wait and do the other later??? or do i need to do the whole emissions/vac system all at once???

BTW i broke the sir injection tube the other day and need my vehicle asap. and am NOT buyin another air injection tube, i planned on takin that junk off anyway

 

You can block it off, it won`t hurt anything.

 

Not sure if we are talking about the same thing but my EGR valve would stick open any time I would drive for over 5 min at 3500 RPMs. When I would exit the highway and come to a stop it would idle terribly and then die. It would not restart until about 2 minutes later when I would hear a little pop sound from the back of the carb. I pulled the vac hose to the EGR valve and blocked it with a small bolt and it has been running great ever since.

 

Yeah, as long as the valve isn't stuck open, you're ok just plugging off the vacuum hoses. I think you'd know if it was stuck open, cause your truck would run like crap, if at all.

 

well im talkin about just blockin the air injection ports on the manifold. will it hurt to block just that for now?
