Question Mystery vacuum hose from the transmission

I've tried searching near and far for the solution to this, but haven't been able to find one yet. Figured some of ya'll gurus out there might have some knowledge on this one. I recently did a desmog and Weber conversion on my 1981 2 wheel drive long bed with the help of yotatech. I had a vacuum line left over hanging out under the hood when I was finished. I tracked it down and it seems to be going into my transmission. Anyone have any guesses on what this is?? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Where its going into the transmission. Bundled with the wires.

The mystery line in question.

I don't have a book for the g-series transmission but I would be willing to wager what you have there is the vent/breather tube that lets the transmission get warm without blowing the gaskets/seals.
