Been slow lately but, have managed to get a skid plate fabed and addressed some break issues.

It's a chevy part so I felt compelled to do it lol

More cage work to come hopefully next few weekends

I assume so that no one will steal it.

This truck looks great I am looking forward to seeing what else you are doing since I too have recently picked up a truck... however I am stuck at getting it running haha. Looks great so far though!

so someone can't steal it! You don't want to walk outside one morning and see the winch gone do you?

Sorry the old one went on a buddies rig that had a bad master

I feel sorry for whom ever tried to steal my winch lol cause in order to get it out the grill now has to come off first. Make too much noise trying to get to it and all the electrical is up inside the engine compartment.

Well been pretty busy lately haven't had a chance to get a whole lot done. Went through and put new timing cover and water pump gaskets in as well as a new oil pump, oil pick up and a new oil pan. (old pan took an axle truss to bottom ran for a year like that). Did some cosmetic work and got the interior buttoned up finally. Got a few more piece on the exo bent up. Going to change the 90deg corner on the front to a bent corner.

Engine cosmetics

Exo work

Finished the console cept bolting down the boot plate.

Gears and Chromo axles will be ordered the first of august. Soon after that should be on the trail.

Well the black was just rattle canned, but I did completely strip paint before I did. Took me a few days. It's going to be getting stripped here soon after cage comes off for a shot of paint but with automotive paint. It's not hard to paint at all just take your time and prep out. The rattle can has held up will to salt water, sand, mud, rocks. No rust under it when scratched just went to primer. One good thing is rattle can is easy to touch up if needed

Yes, sort of, that 3rd shifter is for his second transfer case. A dual transfer case set up greatly increases the gear ratio between transmission and axles, which means a slower crawl speed.
