This is my current project I've been working on.
  • 5in all pro springs
  • dana 44 front
  • 14bolt rear
  • dual cases
  • custom spring hangers
  • up graded brakes

Rear gutted

cut frame for frenched hangers

Rear spring hanger bracket

Spring hanger welded in place sits much nicer out of the way from rock now.


Now to help stop the new axles with help of a chevy 1 1/4 bore master cylinder.

solid axles look really nice an are great for rock crawlin. Only been doing this for a year and it gets addicting fast.

ya but the thing is i havnt crawled in a while and i kinda enjoy the ride of ifs but ive got 2 trucks so i might do it to one lol

Ifs makes for a good ride. I have seen a stock IFS truck in the rock with us. It was kinda scary and he def was pushing his limits but, got great props for trying

Not much progress. My dual case adapter showed up. Time to clean the 2nd case and tear it apart. Rear axle in the paint booth getting a few coats of paint.

looks good so far i personally wouldn't have gone full width axles but thats me haha. what tire size are you going to run now?

I wanted the full width for more stability on the rocks and you get a grater flex arc with the wider axles. I'm going to be running 38's or 39's on this d44 and once I cant get a D60 I'll go to a 42in tire

More work got done tonight
Modded the TC saginaw pump and custom made bracket to fit with toyota PS bracket.

steering ram mounted up, started running hydraulic hoses



Added a cross support for the axle guard

Hopefully have the steering plumbed in an bleed tomorrow or sunday. Just need ball joints for the steering knuckles to complete my tie rods.
