Mechanical Speedo to Electronic?

I eventually want to swap out the gauge cluster with all electronic gauges and the one im having difficulty finding how to do so is the speedo.

I've got an 81 pickup with an 85 22r and a w52 tranny.

Any help appreciated.

Are you trying to make your factory speedometer electric or are you installing an aftermarket speedometer?

There were no factory electronic speedometer for that model.

Many aftermarket speedos just require the fixing of a magnet to the driveshaft and positioning a sensor to read its' revs. Simple.

Do you know where I can get a kit with the sensor and magnet then? and how would I calibrate it?

Consult your local hotrod/speedshop or custom car builders.

They'll likely know of several makers and options.

Any speedo kit will come with its own calibration instructions.
