Leaf spring bushings

Most of my leaf spring bushings look cracked, and there's a clunking noise that may be the rears having fallen apart. I figure I'll replace all 24 of them while I'm at it. But there seem to be two different types: a longer one with part number 90385-18007...

...and a shorter one, 90385-18046...

Can someone tell me how many of which goes where?

Also, can anyone recommend where and what to get for replacements? I would prefer rubber over polyurethane, but it seems that while Energy Suspension ones come in sets, rubber ones all seem to be individually priced? The former would add up to about $45; the latter almost double that. Does that sound right?

I've been happy with my poly set but I believe they tend to transmit a bit more vibration, I noticed it a bit when I replaced the body bushings, not so much with the springs (done at different times).

I am 90% sure that the longer ones are for the top (through the frame) of the front spring shackles. They bulge out wider to fit the frame so it stands to reason. That would mean 4 of the long bushings and 20 of the short, right?

Hope this helps some.

Yes, that's (almost) correct - long ones in the front.

Each front spring takes 2x 90385-18007 (shackle upper) and 4x 90385-18046 (everywhere else). Each rear spring takes 2x 90385-18001 (spring pin, t.i front joint) and 4x 90385-18046 (shackle upper and lower).

The 18007 is of course longer, but I can't see any difference between the 18001 and 18046.

The Duralast SK6570 kit that Autozone sells for $5.59 contains four bushings that say 90385-18046 and "MADE IN JAPAN" on them. Win! I got five of those kits to do all but the front upper shackle. Haven't finished yet.

Yeah, I got six sets of that Duralast kit and used it everywhere. On the front spring shackle upper bushings, I cut a section of the old bushings (the tube part was fine, only the "flanged" part on the end was all worn out) to be a spacer between the shorter 18046 ones. Several thousand miles later, including a 1000-mile trip with a GVW of about 4700#, they all seem to be doing just fine.

If you can, try polygraphite vs polyurethane. They tend to be quieter.

Whoops, just read you last post. Glad they're working out.
