Question L43 transmission goes bye bye

79 short bed 4x4 22r transplated but the dam L43 trans went out in 3 months, want to replace but with low buget and almost no fab available. looking at transmissions from L50 or L52 would like to even go for g series or r series but length seems to be issue and need replace t-case to fit as well, need lines for parts aquirement and for ideas if fab is involved. i know shafts will need be moded if g or r series installed and flanges for front and rear diffs need replacing. the shafts i can get and have moded locally but the trans is proving hard to find.

you will need to move the crossmember back

L52/L50 go in with out any extra mods...
