I finally did it...
I bought an '81 sr5 today
. It came with an extra 4spd and a 5spd, Plus a bunch of extra stuff. Paid 1200 for the truck. I'll post pics up soon.

82 was the most produced, 79 was the rarest
easy to find with a 22R in 81 b/c the 20R was dropped in 80

me too, after driving a friend's truck with dual cases, i had to pick up this stuff....just need the adapter, hopefully by the end of the year
