I am looking to bypass the spiral cable on my '82. My horn isn't working and I'm guessing that's the issue so I figure it's easier to bypass it then to replace the spiral cable.

Does anyone know what wire is the one for the horn that comes up to the bottom of the steering column??

I have a wiring diagram for 1981 and 1983 and they both show the wire color as green with a red stripe. The wire runs from the horn up to the switch and the switch completes the circuit to ground. I don't have the wiring diagram for a 1982 pickup but I assume it is the same. I hope that helps.
