hooker headers.any good?

i have a 81 with a 22r and my header is dieing

so i was looking at the hooker comp headers but i dont know how good they are and how nice they sound

any advise is greatly appreshiated

I'm runnin a Hooker on my Trekker...it's alright. I have an LCE on my 82 2wd and it is definitely better (ya get what ya pay for I guess) If you wanna hear the Hooker go to my Trekker buildup thread on the last page there is a youtube clip. (Link is down below in my sig)

hey Mule when you bought your hooker did you have to buy new comectors for the flage because in the picture it shows the hooker has a 3bolt flange but my truck has a two

yeah....you'll have to change out the flange on your existing exhaust to connect to the header collector flange...or just do what I did and fab a whole new 2" exhaust system.

Summit or any local muffler shop should be able to sell you a reducer that will transition from the 3" collector down to your exhaust size.

i like the sound of my hooker. ha ha ha. i have a hooker super comp header with a full 2.5" exhuast. with the hooker super comp muffler. it sounds really good. if i knew how to add sounds or vids i'd let you hear.

Did any of y'all have a problem with the smog injection pump when installing the hooker? I recently just installed a Hooker on my 86 pickup and it was kinda a pain.
