hey guy i am helping a friend piece his 83 toyota pick back together when he got the truck it had a 20r in it and we are puttign a 22r back in only problem is the 20r had a 2wd pan on it and oil pump tube was also 2wd we got a 4wd pan, but can not find a 4wd oil pump pick up tube where did you find yours?

other question is does anyone ahve any pictures of the 22r motors witht eh water pipes and hoses

 

Get yourself a manual. Or search the internet, you'll be able to find diagrams. These online forums, craiglist, and junkyards are the place to find a pickup tube. Or the dealership...

 

Junkyards are where I have seen the most 20R parts

 

It's not a 20r lookin for the tube for the 22r

Same thing. 20R and 22R are pretty plentyful in the junkyard scene, its the 3.4 and newer are hard to find as well as the 2jz. Blown 3.0 are really common. Other then that the above mentioned Craigslist has been the next best thing for me. Some pretty good deals on some rather unusual things.

 

Found one on evilbay for 30 buds so once I get it on I will start snapin some pictures to put on here

yep .. 20r and 22r /RE pickups are the same .. interchangeable
