Here's a pic of my 83 as it sits right now. I dream of looking like 8T3 on day but one step at a time. still haven't started the rebuilt engine so no telling how she'll actually turn out. My build thread is "Ready to buy" check it out I'm always looking for advice, insights and the occasional encouragement helps me to ignore that little voice in my head that says I'll never figure out how to put this thing back together.

 

 

i know its not a 4x4 but its a first gen here is my 79 2wd when first got it.

 

very cool. looks like the '80 I am trying to buy from a guy at church...don't think Dave will depart with it though, he bought the truck in '85....

just wondering what size the tires you are running and if we can get some more pictures of the fender trimming (if it's more than just the standard front end cut).

Picked up this rig late 2008 in San Fran. Rust free. Original 56k miles. Pretty stock. Now in Canada and running away from the salt on the wintery roads!

Gotta love these 1st gens for sure. I'll get some more pics up here shortly.

 

I guess I should finally post some of mine. Probably won't have any wheeling photos until summer. I think someday it'll get modified into more of a off-road/utility/work truck, but for now it's staying fairly stock and is my dd and only vehicle.
